Private Isaac Dunton

Private Isaac Dunton, of English heritage, was born in Natick in 1734, the child of Thomas and Sarah. He married Sarah Jennings in 1761. Together they had five children. He marched on the alarm of 19 April 1775 in Captain Joseph Morse’s Company and Colonel Samuel Bullard’s Regiment. Later he served in Captain James Mellon’s Company in Colonel Jonathan Ward Regiment. In December of 1775 his name appeared on an order for a bounty coat or equivalent in money in Dorchester.
